History in the Making!

To say these past several days have truly been monumental for the entire Mindful Life Project organization would be an understatement. Scratch that..This entire year has been truly monumental for MLP! From the launch of The Peaceful Warriors & Empowered Mind programs in collaboration with the Golden State Warriors earlier this year, to having ‘Saturday Night Live’ Star Kenan Thompson record the voiceover for our organizational video, to even last winter with MLP’s most successful fundraiser ever! So many things to celebrate from this previous year and now, two weeks removed from the previous year, we already have some exciting news coming up for next school year!

After countless negotiation meetings between the district admin and our Founder JG Larochette, we were able to come to an agreement that is the first of its kind in MLP’s history! For the next three school years, Mindful Life Project will be providing both on-site & virtual services for the entire school community at the Pittsburg Unified School District & the surrounding Pittsburg communities! This is the first multi-year partnership contract that we’ve ever been able to secure with a district and we couldn’t be any more excited! It’s also home to an alma mater of MLP board member Justin Michael Williams, Heights Elementary School. We will be providing services to all of the district’s 8 elementary school campuses next year.

Schools serving:

Foothill Elementary

Heights Elementary

Highlands Elementary

Los Medanos Elementary

Marina Vista Elementary

Parkside Elementary

Stonemen Elementary

Willow Cove Elementary

“It is an honor to be a part of an organization that works diligently to support the mental and emotional wellness of students, teachers, staff, leaders, and families to create a foundation of wellbeing at the individual level, that leads to a very connected school culture and climate where the goal is to make all feel safe, a deep sense of belonging, valued, and believed in.

We strive to collaborate with schools to create significant space for students and educators to cultivate mindfulness and compassion daily. As our youth and educators grow these practices early and often, they are able to connect with their authentic, powerful, and resilient selves and are empowered to thrive both in school and in their community.

We look forward to continuing to build the strongest organization possible and continue to improve so that we can be of the greatest service possible to our communities. A huge and powerful blast of heartfulness to you all!”

JG Larochette, MLP Founder & Director

We’re beyond excited for this epic partnership and the new school communities we will get the opportunity to connect with! There have been so many things to be grateful for this year, that it’s beginning to get hard to keep track of! One of our favorite mindful skills here is gratitude and we’re eternally grateful for each & every one of our supporters and all that they do.
