Wellness Bingo & Tips for Family Self-Care during Quarantine

2020 has been a year for the record books…When the Global Pandemic hit earlier this year, it forced people of all ages to carry the unfortunate burden of uncertainty, anxiety and frustration. In fact, according to a survey conducted by National Library of Medicine, almost half of Adults in the U.S. reported feeling some form of depression. The National average is usually at 37%. Children pose a higher risk to developing anxiety & depression, as the Trauma from extended periods of isolation and little social interaction increases their risk of contraction by 300%, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The worst part being that those symptoms are capable of showing up as soon as 3 months, and lasting up to 9 years. With all that data being presented, it is apparent how devastating Covid-19 has already been to our country. Not just for the present moment, but in the future as well.

Our mission at MLP has been to provide Youth, Families & Educators with the resources necessary to manage the emotional roller-coaster we call life. So, for this week’s post, we’re providing everyone with a Wellness bingo sheet and some tips on how to better love & appreciate yourself! These are just one of the many free resources we offer that you can enjoy by yourself, with the family, alongside your friends or coworkers, whomever!
